B-Aware was created by former police officers who have over twenty five years experience in the law enforcement and security profession, and as children were the neighborhood protectors of other children. As they grew and then got into law enforcement, they noticed that people only knew about the “major” or “sensational” crimes committed in their community.
At first this lack of community knowledge was surprising especially since they felt that being informed could help prevent some of the crimes from occurring. After a while they began to wonder what could be done to improve the awareness of the community as a whole. Out of this line of thinking B-Aware was born. The basic concept is to provide communities across the country with a place to find out about all of the criminal activity in their area, not just the sensational stories reported in traditional news media.
Our mission here at B-Aware is to keep communities informed and aware. We want to provide citizens with information about the activity in their areas as well as arm citizens with the knowledge they need to prevent criminal activity and respond appropriately if they find themselves victims of a crime. By keeping you AWARE of what is occurring in your neighborhood, you can take the necessary steps to protect your family, and your property.
