Graham’s Security on front line of arrest:
Laura Lane, a reporter for the Herald Times reported on 12/27/11 a story titiled “Police make Christmas Day meth arrest”. Her story only tells half of what actually occured. Graham’s Security was hired by Varsity Property Management to perform security services for several student lived homes and apartments over the Holidays. As a former police officer and owner of Graham’s Security, Jim Graham gave a training to his staff on what to look for in regards to stopping burglaries and thefts to the students homes while they are away. On December 25th, Christmas Day, Jim Graham was personaly on duty for Graham’s Security when he observed a suspicious vehicle and observed the actions of the occupants. It was Mr. Graham’s background, training, and experiance that made the call to BPD. It was Mr. Graham who stayed with the situation until the arrival of the police officers, and then passed on additional information to the officers that led them to the apprehension of the two suspects listed in the police reports below. Although BPD did a great job in their efforts in regards to this case, we feel as though not enough credit is given to the security companies for their work on the front lines in the fight against crime in our community.

THEIR POSSESSION. UPON GETTING CONSENT TO SEARCH A RESIDENCE, THE OFFICERS
LOCATED AN ACTIVE METHAMPHETAMINE LAB. BRANDON HARDEN, 24, MATTHEW OAKLEY,
38, AND AMY JO SMITH, 34, WERE ARRESTED ON VARIOUS DRUG RELATED CHARGES.
